These Terms and Conditions apply to all transactions on this site. Please read them carefully. They do not affect your statutory rights. We may change these terms and conditions at any time and you will be asked to agree to the terms and conditions each time you place an order. Please ensure that you are familiar with our current terms and conditions. Littlebarkery.co.uk is an online shop owned and operated by Little Barkery LTD.
Our Contract
You will have an opportunity to check and correct any input errors in your order up until the moment you submit your order by clicking the “Place order” button. After submitting an order to us we will give you an Order Reference Number and details of the products you have ordered. Please note that this information is an acknowledgement, not acceptance of your order.
We may decline all or part of your order for any reason, in which case we will contact you as soon as we can to let you know. When deciding whether or not to accept your order we or our payment processing partner may use certain information about you, including any received from credit reference and fraud detection agencies. This helps to protect you and us against fraudulent transactions. We will tell you if your payment details cannot be authorised for any reason and may invite you to pay by another method.
Prices & Payment
All prices and charges on this site are shown in UK pounds sterling. They include any VAT payable, but exclude delivery charges. The total cost of your order is the price of the products you order plus the applicable delivery charge. All costs and discounts will be set out clearly before you submit your order.
Prices, offers and products are subject to availability and may change before (but not after) we accept your order. If something becomes unavailable we may offer you an alternative. We try very hard to ensure that all information on this site is accurate however, occasionally errors can occur. If we discover an error in the price or description of a product you have ordered, we will tell you and ask you whether you wish to continue with your order or cancel it. We accept payment by the cards listed below and on the payment page. Payment is deducted when we process your order.
Delivery
Your delivery address must be located within the United Kingdom. Normally, deliveries will take two days and we do everything we can to meet the delivery times specified in this section. However, occasionally delivery times may be affected by factors beyond our control and therefore they cannot be guaranteed. Please allow extra time for deliveries to Scottish Islands.
Deliveries will not always need to be signed for. However in a situation where they must be signed for, It is your responsibility to ensure you are home or able to collect the item if the courier was unable to find you at home. If you are not at home and delivery was not possible, we reserve the right to apply further delivery charges should you require us to re-send your item. Please make sure you keep the receipt enclosed with your goods.
Deliveries of Raw Food
Using Little Barkery’s Company website to order, delivery method options will be presented from which the purchaser may select their preferred choice, either DPD, Royal Mail or Click & Collect locations.
When placing an order online, each delivery option available to the customer and the associated delivery or collection dates, can be selected accordingly. Each delivery method has a differing cost/charge dependant on method of delivery (example: Express delivery incurs a charge where as a Click and Collect location delivery attracts no delivery charge).
In the instance of DPD delivery, the purchaser should provide an accurate delivery address and any associated information required to ensure Little Barkery and/or its subcontractors has the best opportunity to accurately deliver the goods to the correct location.
When using the DPD option, Little Barkery packs the goods as effectively as possible to retain the goods as frozen for a period of 24 – 48 hours from despatch from its premises. There is no guarantee the goods will remain frozen until delivery / receipt, although The Little Barkery makes every effort they remain so at time of despatch.
Express orders will be dispatched in cardboard boxes designed to provide a thermal barrier between the products and the outside of the box. Within the box a system of insulation is used to slow the thawing process. This method of packaging allows the products to remain insulated for a reasonable period, estimated to be between 24 – 48 hours.
This 24 – 48 hour period can be reduced if inclement weather and summer temperatures impose a speeding up of the thawing process. In the event of the occasional and partial thawing of products during this 24 – 48 hour period, please immediately place goods in a freezer to avoid spoiling. It is quite safe to refreeze meat products if required but only if they have not been spoiled. This allowance to refreeze cold, unspoilt and yet unfrozen product is confirmed by Little Barkery Company suppliers and brands of meats.
The definition of spoilt are goods that are all registering a temperature higher than +3% or higher on arrival. In the event that goods arrive spoilt in an Express delivery, either on the specified delivery date or thereafter, Little Barkery cannot accept any liability.
If goods arrive later than the due date and are spoilt, Little Barkery can not accept any liability.
We can not refund partially or fully defrosted items that have arrived in a reasonable delivery timeframe.
Delivery Fees
We make every effort to keep our delivery charges as low as possible. Once you have added products to your Shopping Basket, the appropriate charge will be added automatically and shown on the subsequent invoice page. You will always be able to see this charge before submitting your order. If you add additional items, please double check the delivery charge by clicking ‘Re-calculate’.
Missing, Damaged or Incorrect Orders
We try very hard to ensure that you receive your order in pristine condition. If you do not receive all your products, or in the unlikely event that a product arrives damaged or faulty, please contact us at woof@littlebarkery.co.uk.
